Our Story

The Bullring, built in 1903, was originally called the "Judging Pavilion" and used for livestock auctions and shows. Cattle entered the building from the entrance that now faces Winegard Walk.  At the time, what is now known as the University of Guelph, did not exist; the campus was composed of the Ontario Agriculture College, the MacDonald Institute and experimental farm fields. The Ontario Veterinary College became the third institution to join the campus in 1922.

Our Initiatives

Compost Program

For years we have been working with the sustainability office here on campus with our composting program.  All our kitchen veggie scraps are diverted to our on-site composter located adjacent to the patio. Our coffee grounds are diverted to the Guelph Urban Organic Garden (GUOC) located on the UofG Campus.

China Plates, Flatware and Cups

We’ll do the dishes! Stay and enjoy your lunch and use our reusable plates & cutlery.

Poster Run

The CSA Poster Run allows access to multiple bulletin boards across campus in order to advertise your event, club, service, or other content in an affordable way!

Mug Mondays

Why?

Clubs Accreditation

To become or remain a CSA Club you are required to complete the accreditation application each semester by the posted deadline. Clubs who apply for accreditation in the fall do not need to be re-accredited in the winter semester. Failure to complete accreditation requirements by the specified deadline will result in your application being denied.
