What happened to our bus pass?
We currently don’t have one. This is due to our previous contract with Guelph Transit expiring on April 30, 2021. For more information, please click here.

March 25th, 2021 | Since 1995, the Central Student Association (CSA) and the Graduate Student Association (GSA) have negotiated with the City of Guelph for a bus pass that offers unlimited rides on Guelph Transit at a significantly lower rate than a traditional monthly bus pass.

December 4th, 2020 | Need a bus pass for the Winter 2021 semester? Starting Friday, December 11th, you can purchase a Winter 2021 Post-Secondary Semester Pass to load onto your OnYourWay fare card at a cost of $272.

September 10th, 2020 | Need a bus pass for the fall semester? University of Guelph students need to use an OnYourWay fare card to ride Guelph Transit. Student ID cards are no longer accepted as valid bus fare..

August 10th, 2020 | After discussion with the City of Guelph, students will have access to the affordable bus pass for the fall considering the universal bus pass has been suspended. The pass is available at a cost of $37.50 per month. If you apply and receive an affordable bus pass, you will not be required to purchase a post-secondary pass to use transit services.

August 5th, 2020 | The CSA has temporarily suspended the Universal Bus Pass for the Fall 2020 and Winter 2021 semesters. This decision was made with benefit to the greatest number of students in mind, as many are not returning to Guelph in the fall or will not be using transit services.

July 2nd, 2020 | Beginning July 2nd, undergraduate students will be able to purchase a discounted post-secondary transit pass from Guelph Transit for July and August. Passes are available at Guelph Central Station’s mobile centre, ServiceGuelph at City Hall, and Guelph Transit.

June 30th, 2020 | The CSA and the CSA are happy to announce that Guelph Transit and City Council have agreed to our request for a pro-rated refund for your Winter 2020 bus pass fee and late night service fee. Student Financial Services has offered their support and will manage the refund process.
