Note: in accordance with CSA Bylaw 1, Section 4.16.5 b, a board meeting was called for Thursday, November 27, 2025 at 5pm. Please see below for an updated notice regarding this meeting:

The CSA has been working diligently over the past two days to secure an experienced, neutral chair for tonight’s Board meeting, which was called by a student petition under CSA Bylaw 1, section 4.16.5(b). Our regular Board Chair is unavailable at the scheduled time, and despite extensive outreach on very short notice to multiple University departments, former CSA Board Chairs, and several external facilitators, no qualified chair is available this evening.

Because a neutral presiding officer is necessary to ensure a fair, orderly, and accessible meeting for all participants, the CSA is unable to proceed with the meeting as scheduled tonight.

A new meeting date and time will be set for the earliest available opportunity when a chair can be confirmed. In accordance with CSA Bylaw requirements, at least 48 hours’ notice will be provided once those details are finalized.

We appreciate the community’s patience and understanding as we work to ensure that this important discussion is conducted in a fair and properly facilitated manner. This meeting requires an environment where all students can participate meaningfully and feel that their voices are truly heard, and securing an appropriate chair is essential to that.
