Student Events & Risk Management (SE&RM) is the event submission process on GryphLife.ca, the submissions are then reviewed by the SE&RM committee. The SE&RM Coordinator acts as a resource person to student organizations and clubs and is available to educate student organizations on SE&RM procedures, policies, and protocols.
If you have any questions about event submission, approval, or SE&RM training please visit the coordinator’s office hours or email them at [email protected]
SERM Training CourseLink Now Live!
Each year, event-planners submitting events on GryphLife must complete SERM Training. We are excited to announce that as of September 1st, event-planners will complete this training through a new CourseLink module, rather than attending a scheduled in-person or virtual training session.
Steps for Self Registration
1. Log into CourseLink
2. Select “Self Registration” from the top menu of the home screen
3. Select the “Student Events and Risk Management Training”
4. Select “Register” and follow the steps to register and access the course
In order to be considered trained, and to be able to have events submitted through the SERM process approved, you need to fully complete the SERM course and also obtain a score of 100% on the quiz.
*Please Note: If event planners last completed SERM Training in the previous academic year (August 2024 – March 2025), they will need to complete the module now. If Event Planners completed training sessions in April or May 2025, they are qualified for F25/W26 and do not need to complete the module this academic year.
