Executive Candidates

Nate Broughton – CSA President
Since my very first year at UofG, I’ve been deeply involved in the CSA, first serving as a Director and now as your President. With a few years of experience in CSA governance, I bring strong institutional knowledge and a clear vision for strengthening our organization. Stepping into the Presidency, I quickly rebuilt momentum, strengthened relationships with stakeholders, and tirelessly advocated for student needs. My focus has been improving the student experience, increasing transparency, and bringing student voices to University administration. Under my leadership, SEIF funding for clubs has doubled, and we’ve made meaningful progress in accountability and student engagement too. There’s still more to do. Next year, I want to enhance our social media strategy and outreach so more students know about our work and available resources. We must also continue to expand the CSA’s services and advocacy efforts. Your voice, your vision – let’s build on our progress together.

Pawandeep Singh – CSA VP Student Experience
Hi Gryphons! My name is Pawandeep, and I am excited to run for Vice-President Student Experience at the CSA. As a passionate advocate for student engagement, I want to create a more inclusive, vibrant, and accessible campus for everyone. If elected, I will work to enhance student events, strengthen club support, and ensure that every student feels heard and valued. Together, we can make campus life more dynamic and enriching. Let’s build a better student experience— vote Pawandeep!

William Coleman – CSA VP Academic
Hello CSA! My name’s Will, and I’m running for re-election as your CSA Vice-President Academic. Over the past year, my top priority has been to reduce the cost of education for students across campus, including decreasing the cost of textbooks and course materials. I have also worked to make sure that students are aware of their rights around academic misconduct cases, appeals, and other university procedures. If re-elected, I will continue to call on the University for increased transparency and accountability on how your student fees are being spent. I will also continue to make sure that students’ concerns are represented in major University decisions. If you have any questions or ideas about how to make the University a better place for student to live, learn, and work, feel free to reach out to me at [email protected]!

Natalie Wilkinson – CSA VP External
Hey Gryphons! My name is Natalie, and I am so excited to announce my re-election campaign for Vice-President External! This past year at the Central Students Association, I have brought numerous initiatives forward during my term, such as the Provincial Voting Campaign, Tap-In Water Fountain initiative, #WeBelieveYou day pledge and brought awareness to issues that impact the student body! I have also looked at various policies within the CSA and within the University and advocated for greater accessibility to education in general and in our classrooms. I have also advocated for students within Provincial and Federal spaces. I have and will continue to advocate for student issues within University administration to make real change on this campus. If re-elected, I will continue to bring my ideas forward, create more ways to enhance transparency within the CSA and give students a chance to have their voice heard. A vote for me is a vote for consistency, responsibility, and determination.
Board Of Directors Candidates

Marcus Aldred-Ganhao –
College of Engineering and Physical Sciences Director
Hello, my name is Marcus Aldred-Ganhao, and I am a third-year Engineering student in the Systems and Computing program. I am excited to run for re-election to the role of Director-at-Large. My experience as the Vice President Internal of CEPSSC has given me a deep understanding of how student government operates and is administered. This experience will enable me to effectively push for required improvements on campus such as an end to the housing crisis in Guelph. In addition to my role in CEPSSC, I serve as a student senator and a Director on the CSA Board of Directors. In these positions, I have consistently advocated for my fellow students, ensuring their interests and academic rights are upheld by both the CSA and the University. With this experience, I am confident that I can uphold the office of Director with integrity, respect, and grace. Thank you for considering my candidacy.

Adrian Webster –
College of Engineering and Physical Sciences Director
I am a first year Biomedical Toxicology student, minoring in Political Science. I want to work towards a more active and present Central Student Association which primarily focuses on and promotes the needs of the students. If granted the position as representative for the College of Engineering and Physical Science for the CSA, I want to work towards creating an equal voice for all programs under the CEPS. I will strive for more funding for research projects, better and safer working conditions for our graduate students, such as our TA’s and researchers, and highlight the concerns of CEPS students to bring about change for our students’ benefit.

Ethan Warren –
College of Engineering and Physical Sciences Director
Hello, My name is Ethan Warren, and I am honoured to be one of your candidates for CSA Director at Large representing the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences. Why did I decide to run? Well, 1 significant reason was my experience as a temporary director on the CSA board this year. During this time, I have acted as a full member of the CSA, representing you, the students of the CEPS. In fact, I found the experience so meaningful that I have decided to formally run for election and try to become a director for a full year. I have already served as Chair of the CEPSSC board, and have gained significant understanding of the issues that students care about, as well as experience in student government. I hope you will find me worthy of being one of your representatives for the 2025-2026 CSA term.

Trevor Jamensky –
Lang School of Business Director
Hi I’m Trevor. I’m a first year bachelor of commerce student in marketing management at Gordon S. Lang School of Business, and I am originally from Vaughan. Please consider me for a Director position on the CSA Board on behalf of the business program. I hope to bring a lot of enthusiasm to the position while advocating for the issues that are important to the students at Lang. I personally would like to work on helping to increase the reputation of Lang as a target business school thereby increasing the resources available in securing job opportunities to Lang students. I am also always open to input from all Lang students, as I hope to best represent the interests of the many.

Yael Lazebnik –
College of Biological Sciences Director
Hi, I’m Yael and I’m a second-year Zoology major! I’ve spent this school year as the CBS representative on the CSA Board of Directors, and I’ve had the incredible opportunity to serve on the Enrolment Crisis Task Force. When I’m not in meetings, in class, or in labs, you can find me volunteering at a kitten rescue, at the gym, or at cultural events. If re-elected to the CSA Board of Directors, I will continue to connect CBS students to the CSA and join committees that align with the interests of CBS students. With my knowledge of CSA policies, procedures, and the board structure, I am confident I can be there for my students and continue to foster a warm and inclusive campus environment. I strongly believe that through student governance, we have the power to enact meaningful and long-lasting changes to our university.

Alex Song –
College of Biological Sciences Director
My name is Alex Song and I’m a third-year Biological Science student running for Director at Large in our department. As someone passionate about community and collaboration, I aim to bridge the gap between academics and student life to create a more inclusive and engaging environment for all. Being an executive of the Gryphon Gaming Club and a volunteer with Safewalk, I’ve developed strong organizational and leadership skills by coordinating events, managing diverse teams, and ensuring everyone’s voice is heard. These experiences have taught me the importance of teamwork, communication, and creativity—qualities I’ll bring to this role. If elected, I’ll prioritize initiatives that enhance student engagement, promote mental health resources, and create opportunities for interdisciplinary connections. I’m committed to representing your interests and making our department a place where everyone feels supported and inspired to succeed.

Wedad Alkhaliel –
College of Biological Sciences Director
Hi! During my time at the University, I’ve been pleased to see so much inclusivity, compassion, and empowerment within and beyond classes. Unfortunately, I’ve also observed unfavourable circumstances that can negatively impact your well-being. There aren’t enough words to describe how much I care about enhancing your experiences, so I invite you to see that through my actions. I am dedicated to supporting you through challenges that hinder your happiness and growth. I intend to be transparent and advocate for your needs, ensuring you are in an environment designed for success. Just as my experience here is full of new relationships, inspirations, and celebrations, I am eager to learn from you and share that love and support in return so we may enrich next year with many blessings. Thank you!

Abdullah Al-Jabji –
College of Biological Sciences Director
My name is Abdullah Al-Jabji, and I am seeking to represent CBS on the CSA Board of Directors. I am also a co-founder and co-president of the new War Child chapter here on campus. The CSA has a rich history as a student-led union that has successfully fought for students against injustices by the university admin and the government. The past few years have been lacklustre in this regard, so with your vote, I intend to; – Remove all red tape that restricts the CSA from organizing and mobilizing students against actions that harm them by the university admin, federal/provincial governments (such as OSAP cuts) – Call for a province-wide student strike against cuts to post-secondary education – Campaign for increased funding to the CBSSC and other well-appreciated student organizations – Represent all CBS students across all programs Feel free to reach out to me @abdullah4csa (IG) Thank you!

Jonah Greenhut –

Last year, I served on the CSA as your College of Arts director, and this fall, I represented you as your College of Arts Student Union Rep. Over the past two years, I’ve worked to make elections more transparent and representative by passing policies and serving on the election oversight committee. I have also sat on a number of committees, including Art in the Bullring. Now, in my next term, I want to continue to ensure the CSA works better for you by improving director and executive transparency and accountability, as well as ensuring our $2M budget is used effectively.
