Board of Directors:
College of Social and Applied Human Sciences: Quorum NOT Met
There was one candidate for the College of Social and Applied Human Sciences Director position, Samiya Shakeel.
A verified total of 234 votes were cast which accounts for 3.59% of CSAHS students. Therefore, this did not meet the required minimum of a 10% quorum. The results are as follows:
· Samiya Shakeel: 214
· Decline: 19
The election has not met the required 10% quorum for the College of Social and Applied Human Sciences.
College of Computational, Mathematical and Physical Sciences: Quorum NOT Met
There were two candidates for the College of Computational, Mathematical and Physical Sciences Director position; Tiffany-Miruna Mares and Aidan Mikhail. One position was vacant on the Board of Directors.
A verified total of 128 votes were cast which accounts for 6.63% of CCMPS students. Therefore, this did not meet the required minimum of a 10% quorum. The results are as follows:
· Tiffany-Miruna Mares: 67
· Aidan Mikhail: 59
· Decline: 2
The election has not met the required 10% quorum for the College of Computational, Mathematical and Physical Sciences.
Verified Quorum Update: Wednesday, October 15, 2025
College of Social & Applied Human Sciences:
A total of 159 votes were cast and 151 of these have been verified. CSAHS currently has a quorum of 2.32%. In order to meet quorum, a total of 615 CSAHS students need to vote.
College of Computational, Mathematical & Physical Sciences:
We are unable to provide a verified CCMPS quorum at this time due to discrepancies with the current student list. This is under review by the Elections and Referendum Committee, to be resolved soon.

Starting Monday, September 15, the CSA will be hosting our by-election to fill vacant Executive and Board of Directors positions for the current academic year. Successful candidates will serve a term of October 29, 2025 to April 30, 2026. These candidates will represent YOU as an undergraduate student at the University of Guelph, so make sure you do your part in the democratic process by getting informed and casting your vote starting Monday, October 6, 2025 when the polls open. All-Candidate’s Forum
The All-Candidate’s Forum is a chance for undergraduate students to learn more about the candidates in the election and ask them questions about the key issues impacting students and their plans should they be elected. The Forum will be held during the Campaigning Week; date and time TBD. Students can submit questions to the candidates ahead of the Forum using a Microsoft Form that will be released in the coming weeks.
