Fall 2025: By-Election

The CSA Fall 2025 By-Election Nomination Period is now closed!

Starting Monday, September 15, the CSA will be hosting our by-election to fill vacant Executive and Board of Directors positions for the current academic year. Successful candidates will serve a term of October 29, 2025 to April 30, 2026. These candidates will represent YOU as an undergraduate student at the University of Guelph, so make sure you do your part in the democratic process by getting informed and casting your vote starting Monday, October 6, 2025 when the polls open. All-Candidate’s Forum

The All-Candidate’s Forum is a chance for undergraduate students to learn more about the candidates in the election and ask them questions about the key issues impacting students and their plans should they be elected. The Forum will be held during the Campaigning Week; date and time TBD. Students can submit questions to the candidates ahead of the Forum using a Microsoft Form that will be released in the coming weeks.


Hybrid Polling Stations

For the Fall 2025 By-Election, the CSA will be holding hybrid in-person polling stations in locations on campus where students can find out more information about the election and how to vote. The CSA will also have staff circulating in key areas on campus to inform students about the election and encourage them to vote. The full list of locations will be posted below prior to the opening of the voting period.

Those interested in running for an Executive position should read Policy Appendix A – Executive Portfolios (see below) to help you understand the role. It is also strongly encouraged to contact a current Executive (or past member) and discuss the position responsibilities.
