Community Garden

In the 2013-2014 academic year, we received the Gordon Nixon Leadership Award, which funds initiatives that promote student engagement and leadership. We used this funding to create the FoodBank Garden; 10 garden beds in the greenspace adjacent to the parking lot.

Since its creation, we have grown a variety of fruits and vegetables, such as: hot peppers, tomatoes, squash, zucchini, beans, peas, kale, mint, basil and raspberries. Under normal circumstances, we would highly encourage the participation of volunteers, but we are subject to COVID-19 restrictions at this time.

Garden Fresh Box

The Garden Fresh Box program has been suspended for the time being as The SEED, our partner organization in providing this service, is focussing on home delivery.

Please visit The SEED for more information on their programming and services.
