The Guelph Student FoodBank is currently operating by appointment only.

Please complete the virtual Intake Form to receive instructions on obtaining an appointment.

In addition to emergency food provision, the Guelph Student FoodBank offers students monetary support through the Special Diet Fund and the Compassionate Fund (see below for details and applications). Please note, you do not have to sign up as a visitor to apply for the Compassionate Fund.


Special Diet Fund

The Special Diet Fund provides students with either a monthly President’s Choice gift card (to adhere to COVID-19 safety guidelines) or a monthly cash supplement. This fund is intended for students with dietary needs which the FoodBank’s services do not meet, including but not limited to food restrictions, allergies, baby food/other related expenses, and religious practices.

Compassionate Fund

The Compassionate Fund is a one-time allotment of $50. It is intended for students who are experiencing financial need due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to bereavement, unexpected travel expenses, and illness. To apply, please complete and submit the form below, either in person at the FoodBank, or by email to foodbank@uoguelph.ca. You will be notified by email of the status of your application within two business days.
